Hans Arp “Cercle Rouge” Rug
This Hans Arp’s rug design was referred to as Ace of Spades (As de Pique or Cercle Rouge) and was originally designed during the years 1928-1930 by Hans Arp for Marie Cuttoli’s Galerie Myrbor in Paris. The background contains a slate grey field with an overlapping ivory and black panel containing a red hollow circle and a slate blue abstract figure, with “Hans Arp’ embroidered on turned under end finish.
