Meet us at Art Miami

December 2, 2025

At this year’s Art Miami, Modern Masters Tapestries is excited to share a selection of tapestries from Man Ray’s Revolving Doors series, all woven in Paris by the incredible artisans of Atelier 3. Seeing these works in tapestry form is always a bit surprising — the colors shift, the shapes breathe differently — and yet the spirit of Man Ray’s original drawings comes through with such clarity that you almost forget you’re looking at wool and silk.

Our aim with this presentation is simple: to show how a modern artist’s imagination can take on a completely new life in the weaving studio. The partnership between painter and atelier is at the heart of everything we do, and these pieces make that relationship feel very alive. You can really sense the hands behind the work — the choices in texture, the way a curve is interpreted, the way colors are balanced to keep the rhythm of the composition intact.

We’d love for you to stop by and spend a moment with these tapestries. They’re playful, thoughtful, and beautifully made — a small but meaningful window into Man Ray’s world, and into the craft traditions that continue to carry these ideas forward.
