The Modern Masters Tapestries Gallery is pleased to announce its participation in One Masters Monaco 2025, taking place from July 9 to 11 at the Curated Foyer.
Set in the heart of the Principality, One Masters Monaco brings together a refined selection of international galleries specializing in 20th-century and contemporary art. This exclusive event is designed as a celebration of artistic excellence and collectors’ discernment, drawing connoisseurs from across Europe and beyond.
For this occasion, the Modern Masters Tapestries Gallery will present two exceptional textile works that embody the rich dialogue between modern art and tapestry-making.
André Lanskoy’s Untitled, a vibrant wool tapestry handwoven by Atelier Maurice in Aubusson, channels the lyrical abstraction and chromatic intensity that defined the artist’s post-war practice. Created in close collaboration with the Aubusson weavers, this tapestry transforms Lanskoy’s painterly language into an intricate textile symphony.
Also on view is Arman’s Colère de Guitare, interpreted in tapestry by Atelier 3. Reflecting the artist’s radical approach to object destruction and accumulation, this piece encapsulates Arman’s fascination with musical instruments as both medium and metaphor. The transformation of a shattered guitar into a woven artwork adds a new material dimension to his iconic “Colères” series.
We are honored to share these powerful and historically significant tapestries, bearing witness to the enduring dialogue between modern artists and the Aubusson tradition.
