Modern Masters Tapestries is thrilled to announce our participation in this year’s Treasure House Fair in London, where we’ll present a curated selection of 20th-century masterworks in textile form. A centerpiece of our booth is L’Hirondelle Amour by Joan Miró—an extraordinary wool tapestry that brings to life the surrealist master’s dreamlike forms through the historic craft of Aubusson weaving. Originally designed in 1934 and adapted from a 1933 painting now in MoMA’s collection, the piece fuses movement, color, and symbolism in a vibrant celebration of modernist abstraction. Woven by the esteemed Atelier Pinton in partnership with ADAGP and the Mobilier National, this edition—numbered 1/8—carries official markings of authenticity and historic importance. With sweeping gestures that echo the flight of swallows, L’Hirondelle Amour stands as a powerful testament to Miró’s belief in tapestry as a primary artistic medium. We invite visitors to experience this rare and poetic work at the fair.
